Twin Flame Checklist — The Patterns Lore Points At, Shown Honestly

Twin-flame lore repeats a small set of astrological signs. This tool checks whether your two real charts show them, and prints the weighting so you can disagree with it. It is upfront that no number here can declare you anyone's twin flame.

What this checklist actually is

A twin-flame checklist is a list of the contacts that twin-flame writing keeps pointing to, tested against your actual birth charts. This one has eight lines: a Sun-to-Moon link, a Moon-to-Moon link, a Venus-to-Mars link, a Mercury connection, an outer-planet contact, a Vertex contact, a Lunar Node contact, and a personal planet in the other's 8th or 12th house.

Each line carries a weight. The index is just the sum of the weights whose line fired, out of a hundred. It is a transparent summary of the list, not a measurement of destiny, and the weights are printed beside every line so you can see exactly how the number was built.

How each line is tested

We cast both charts with sub-arcsecond astronomy (VSOP87/ELP via astronomy-engine), then sweep every labelled point of one against every point of the other for a major aspect within orb. The house lines use the same overlay math as our synastry tools, so nothing here is invented just for this page.

For each of the eight patterns we check whether the relevant contact exists, and take the tightest one as its representative. A line either fires or it does not; there is no partial credit. The Vertex, angle and 8th/12th lines need a birth time, and simply do not fire when one chart has no time.

Reading the index responsibly

Treat a high score as many twin-flame motifs present, and a low score as a pairing that leans on other kinds of glue. Neither outcome says whether the label fits your life. The stories people tell about twin flames are theirs to tell, not something the sky can confirm.

Look line by line, not just at the total. The detail under each fired line names the real contact and its orb. That is the useful part — a specific aspect you can check against any other synastry tool, rather than a verdict handed down.

What you get

The tool returns:

  • A pattern index from 0 to 100, with a bar.
  • All eight checklist lines, each marked fired or not.
  • The printed weight of every line, shown next to it.
  • A plain note that the index is a heuristic, never a certification.

A worked example

On one test pair the index lands at 68 out of 100. Five lines fire: a Venus-to-Mars trine near 3.7 degrees, a Mercury-to-Mars trine under 0.3 degrees, a Moon-to-Pluto conjunction near 0.8 degrees, and Vertex and Node contacts. The 8th/12th house line also fires on a personal planet in the 12th.

Here is the honest catch. On that same 68-point chart, the two most-cited twin-flame motifs — the Sun-to-Moon link and the Moon-to-Moon link — did not fire at all. A different pair that has a tight Moon-to-Moon conjunction scores 60, and a warm, easy pair scores only 46.

So a single number cannot rank these bonds. The 68 chart misses the headline aspects yet scores high on others. That is exactly why the index is a summary of a list you choose, not a test you can fail.

Why the lines carry different weights

The two personal-luminary patterns, Sun-to-Moon and Moon-to-Moon, get the heaviest single lines because the lore treats them as core. The outer-planet line is weighted high too, since Pluto, Neptune and Uranus aspects to personal planets are what twin-flame writing calls intense or transformative.

Still, every weight is a judgment call, not a fact. We made the Sun-to-Moon line worth more than the Mercury line because the literature does, and we show you that choice openly. If your own reading of the lore differs, adjust the weights in your head; the underlying contacts will not change.

How this differs from the karmic and soulmate tools

Our karmic and soulmate pages share one calculator and show labelled checklists with no score at all. This page reuses the same cross-aspect and overlay math but bundles it into a single weighted index, because people who search for twin flame expect a number.

The difference is presentation, not data. Where those two tools refuse to total anything, this one totals on purpose — and then tells you plainly that the total is a rule of thumb you can question, with every weight laid out beside the line it came from.

What this tool does not claim

The strongest limit is the honest one: twin flame is a twentieth-century spiritual label with no classical or scientific source, and no arrangement of planets can certify that two people are twin flames. The index is a summary of a folklore checklist, nothing more.

Two practical notes. The checklist lines are not independent — a single Vertex-to-Node contact can satisfy the Vertex line and the Node line at once, so the total can double-count one tight angle. And the whole thing runs in your browser; no birth data is ever uploaded, stored or shared.

Our method in one line

Two independent natal charts (sub-arcsecond astronomy (VSOP87/ELP via astronomy-engine)); eight folklore contacts tested on one shared cross-aspect and overlay sweep, summed with printed weights into a 0–100 index that is a rule of thumb, not a verdict. Frequently asked questions

Can astrology tell me if someone is my twin flame?
No, and this page will not pretend otherwise. Twin flame is a modern spiritual idea, not an astrological category with a classical source. The most this tool can do is show which contacts the twin-flame literature repeats are present in your charts. The label stays a story you choose to tell.
How is the twin-flame score calculated?
Eight checklist lines each carry a weight, and the weights add to one hundred. The index is simply the sum of the weights for the lines that fire on your real charts. Every weight is printed next to its line, so you can see the exact arithmetic and disagree with any of it.
What if I score low on the checklist?
A low score only means the specific twin-flame motifs we listed are sparse for your pairing. It says nothing about whether the bond is rare, meaningful or lasting. Plenty of deep relationships run on glue that this particular folklore list does not measure.
Do I need exact birth times for the index?
You need them for the Vertex line and the 8th or 12th house line, since both depend on the angles and houses a birth time sets. Without a time, those lines cannot fire, so the index is capped lower. The date-based planetary lines still work from birth dates alone.
Is my birth data private?
Calculations run entirely in your browser. Your birth data is never uploaded, never stored on a server, and never shared. Both charts, every checklist line and the pattern index are computed on your device, so no birth data is ever uploaded, stored, or shared with anyone.
