Astrology Charts (operated as Astrology Charts, at https://astrologycharts.online) publishes the free astrology calculators and articles on this site. For data-protection purposes we are the "controller" of the very little data that moves through the site.

The honest way to reach us is email, at privacy@astrologycharts.online.

• No accounts: You never sign up, so we never hold a name, email or password for you.
• No cookies: We do not set first-party or third-party cookies for tracking, advertising or personalisation.
• No analytics: There is no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or other visitor-tracking script. We don't build an advertising profile of you.
• No browser storage: We don't write your data to localStorage, sessionStorage or IndexedDB on your device.
• No server storage of charts: Your chart inputs and results are not saved to a database, because they never reach our servers in the first place.

The ephemeris and house-system maths run on your own device, using the bundled astronomy-engine. When you press calculate, the date, time and coordinates are processed locally and the results are drawn on your screen. No request containing your birth details is made to us or to anyone else.

Because we can't see that data, we can't lose it, sell it or hand it over — which is the point of building it this way.

When you type a birthplace into a location box, we need to turn that place name into latitude and longitude. To do it, the text you've typed is sent through our own lightweight proxy to the free, open OpenStreetMap Nominatim geocoder. This is the only moment any input leaves your device, and it is the place name alone — never your name, birth date, birth time or your chart.

We do not retain that query on our side beyond the transient request. Nominatim's own handling is governed by the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy, and we send it only what is needed to resolve the place.

Like any website, our hosting and content-delivery provider necessarily handles standard technical data to deliver pages to you securely — things like an IP address, the type of browser, coarse geographic region and timestamps. This exists at the level of plumbing (it cannot be avoided when you request a web page), is not linked to any chart you calculate, and is not used to identify or profile you.

Our typefaces are bundled and self-hosted at build time. Your browser never contacts Google Fonts or another third party to render this site, so no extra requests or cookies leak to anyone else while you read.

This site is a general-audience tool for self-reflection and is not directed at children under 16. We knowingly collect no personal data from anyone, including children. If a parent believes a child has somehow submitted personal data to us through the birthplace search, email us and we'll act on it.

Depending on where you live (the EU/UK under GDPR and the UK GDPR, California under the CCPA/CPRA, and other regimes), you may hold rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold essentially no personal data about you, these requests are usually trivial to satisfy.

• We do not sell or share personal data, so there is nothing to opt out of under "do not sell" rules — and we honour Global Privacy Control signals by default because we track nothing.
• To exercise any right, or to ask what (if anything) we could associate with you, email [object Object].

Our traffic is global. The main processing — calculating your chart — happens on your own device, so it isn't an international transfer at all. The only cross-border hop is the birthplace text sent to the Nominatim geocoder, which is a public service operated on a legitimate-interest basis; the minimal server logs described above are likewise handled by our infrastructure provider's standard safeguards.

We retain no chart data, so there is nothing to keep or delete on our side. Server logs are kept only as long as our hosting provider needs them for security and operation. The site is served over HTTPS, and keeping your birth details on your own device is the strongest protection we could design in.

Cookie-consent notices exist to ask permission for non-essential cookies and trackers. Since Astrology Charts sets none of those, a banner would ask you to agree to things that don't happen. If we ever introduce analytics or any non-essential cookie, we'll add a real consent prompt first and update this page — it will not appear silently.

If this policy changes, we'll update the “last updated” date above and, for anything significant, note it here. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy. As of the date at the top, this reflects how astrologycharts.online actually operates.
